Hi, I'm John, from Jupiter Florida. I have had Franz Bardons work in my hands for 3 years now and have just not felt ready to take on the work until now. Although not feeling ready, I have been yearning and very excited to start it. Somewhat of a strange feeling of ready to go but held back. The time has come and would love your feedback here for fellow students.
Just starting out

I started it a year ago and found it a bit frustrating because I wasn't sure i was understanding the concepts correctly or doing the exercises correctly. I want to begin again with more commitment to hanging in there. I want to be a part of the world's solution instead of part of its problems.

Introducing myself: My name is Rafael and I live in Brazil (Sao Paulo, to be precise). Been studying this kind of thing for sometime now. I've been an AMORC member since 1999, but I feel that I must take my studies further. After long research, Bardon seemed to be the right choice for a "second step"...
See ya!

I thought about joining AMORC some time back. Hey, rgtshope, what are the teachings like. I loved visiting the AMORC museum in San Francisco etc. Well, thought about joining their teaching program but never found quite the support or justification and read too many conflicting ideas or ideologies with AMORC and the Golden Dawn etc. That is mostly what drove me into independent studies. Tell us some more...

Hello!
My name is Gabriel Nazca born and raised in Amsterdam, both parents are Chilean,
My mom is an Anthropologist/Psychologist and my dad is a Pianist, both have influenced me to do my music and cultivate my imagination.
A few years ago as an act of magic I felt a strong attraction to the occult, something I had never read about.
As I get involved in it, I felt I was returning home again a strong feeling of hope, love and enormous excitement had dominated my self being.Franz Bardon is our master and I am following he's steps with love and joy!
Let the magicians inspire the people on this sphere and illuminate them all!
Love

Hey, John!
Now, that's a museum I'd like to visit!
Man, I could write many pages on my thoughts on AMORC, but I'll try to sumarize it as best as I can, lol. It is a honest and even true iniciatic order. It's teachings are very solid and the didatics are very good. Don't know how the english monographs are, but the brazilian portuguese ones are very easy to follow without losing content. They, as a order, are very responsive on doubts and provide an amazing support, and the chapters and lodges (at least in Brazil) have very helpful and evolved people. But... (There is always a but)
They are above all human. And, as we all know, humans are bound to make mistakes. So I can quote some major things that sometimes are a letdown. To sumarize: In the largest lodge here in my city there are some rotten apples. People that are going there just for the sake of telling: "Hey! I am better than 90% of humanity because I am Rosicrucian! Adore me!". I know it isn't a majority, but the few that does those things are really obnoxious. I believe that this kind of thing (association to an iniciatic order) is not something to go yelling about in the streets. And the path of evolution is a very personal one. So just being near those people is very unsettling. And the fact is that getting into AMORC isn't very hard, so there are many members who join just to show this off. And there is even some cases in here about false religious leaders who become members just to tell how evil AMORC is in their preachings. Above all, being a member in any iniciatic order is something to make you evolve, and not something to give you any kind of status, or weapons. And many members I know are there for an "occultist status" that isn't evolved at all...
The second thing that happens is another politic game that annoys me. It evolves arround the current Imperator (the highest administrative role in AMORC) and the past one. The current Imperator renewed the monographs so that they could be better understood, using more clearer concepts and changing a little the order of the paths. When he did this, many members thought that the essence of the monographs were lost and there was a split. So, today there is AMORC and the FRC. The later one uses the old monographs and are a little more reserved. AMORC in the other hand tried to make itself more present, doing a little more marketing, making the Rosicrucian University, releasing another Manifest and other public relation stunts. So, today, AMORC is the best known Rosicrucian order, but not the only one. There are at least 4 more orders. And here comes the worst part. Every single one of them claim to be the "true" rosicrucian order, to the point of causing a certain rivalry between them that is very negative. Instead of having brothers in studies we have people that say: "Oh, he is in AMORC, so it isn't the true thing! Poor soul...". THIS is anoying... a lot!
The third part is a more personal one. In the studies there isn't any request of evolving by the order. They insist that the student must make a pact with his own conscience so that he can judge by himself if he is evolving or not. That is wonderful in theory, but the fact is that the student can receive more advanced knowledge without really being ready for that! This happened to me because of a negligence that now I see it was my own fault, but at the time I wasn't evolved enough to notice it. Let me give you my example. In the first monographs they insist on meditation and visualization exercises much similar to the first ones in Bardon books. I did the exercises but never really evolved on them. This, however, didn't stop me from studying on, and when I got to the seventh degree I realized that I wasn't really ready for what was being teached there. The point is that at the time I didn't have any guidance that could show me that I wasn't ready. I had to discover that by myself after 2 years. It would be much more interesting if a mentor or teacher or even someone more experienced told me: "Hey, dude, pay more attention to these exercises and do not go any further until you dominate them!". Now I am reviewing the past monographs and giving them their correct time.
Well, that's it... Lot to read, but I hope I was usefull somehow. I really recommend AMORC since it is a very solid first step on self evolution, but I advise you to not dive in it blindly. Try to see if FRC and the other rosicrucian orders offer a method that is more pleasing to you. And above all: Don't let your vanity (or other members vanities) get in your way of self evolution.
Sorry for the long post,
See ya,
Peace Profound!Posted 1 year ago # -

Hey, I am William. I'm also brazillian. I started doing the IIH about three months ago, but I'm now trying to re-structure myself since I haven't been getting any results. I think I have wasted much time, and I need to find a way to make it work. Any suggestions? :)

Hi William!
Welcome to the forum!
It's always good to restart and do it better than the first time!
I'll say stay a while studying the Theory first and research it and compare with other authors which are complements to this part of IIH
When you understand this part (really understand the profound meaning) then I'll say yo go on to the Practical part.
Wish you best!
