I was practicing step 1 about one month and then decide to go on step 2. But as I trained the mental exercises of step 2 I noticed that I'm not as good in concentration and decide to go back and repeat step 1. Do you have some similar experience? How do you know when you can go on the next step?
However, Bardon says that 10 minutes is a minimal period to reached the final point of the practice and then you can go on the next(mental)step. I have reached that ultimatum but only once or twice and then I move to the step 2. I think that it is better to establish the time of 10 minutes, lets say, in a period of one week in which you will always be able to make concentration of 10 minutes. And than go to the next step.
What are your opinions about this?

lle,
I like your theory.
We are so quick to want to jump out of this exercise.
I will try to get it to ten minutes, and be able to do it successfully and have the goal of doing it five times successfully for ten minutes.Posted 1 year ago # -
Hi Jlg.
Yes, I also found my self how I'm rushing to the next step in my beginnings with IIH. That is not so bad in the first place (it shows that one has enthusiasm), but it's really important the proper timing of the exercise that is given by Bardon in his book.Best,

As you said, 10 minutes is the minimal, not the ultimatum. I'd strive for a longer time mastery if I was you.

Hi Dwardbon,
Yes, I prolonged the exercises time to 20 to 30 minutes now when I repeat them. I find this to be very useful. I became more calm and concentrate in doing all my daily tasks, and I'm also doing better with the exercises from step 2 now after I repeat the First step.Best,

i suggest breaking them up during the day, 2x 10minutes a day - put in some while on break, washroom, etc etc.
my practice is before i sleep and when i wake up - in the bus, i pretend to sleep. on break at work.
unfortunately, life will always give a hurdle so it is impractical to do it for so long but if you can, power to you.
